Five-star New Day

Cairns, Australia
It had been raining in Cairns for weeks on end. Day after day I drove hoping to catch a break in the cloud filled sky. Finally when it happened, the golden light fell beautifully on the fronds and trunk of the trees giving a warm mood to the scene. I was unsure on whether to include the path in the composition, then decided that it gave the image depth. A shot of paradise you can walk into.
