I love shooting birch trees, and I love seeing them draped with fresh snow. This image was an intriguing combination of fall and winter as it was immediately after the first snow of the season. Autumn was transforming into winter before my eyes. It was a wonderland. The stand of birch seemed to stretch on forever and I was caught by the impossible depth, contrast and composition of white snow and white trees.
